Blackberry
Glass Studio is located in the small town of Mazomanie, Wisconsin, just west of
Madison. The surrounding beauty of hills, rivers and bluffs are the ideal inspiration
for working with the natural beauty of glass.
Jennifer
Mally, glass artist and owner of Blackberry Glass Studio, has successfully
combined her years of experience as a mechanical engineer with her life-long
passion for art. While living abroad for several years, Jennifer studied at a
fiber arts school in Finland and also worked as a design engineer in Germany
and England. This unique combination of talents gives Jennifer the ability to
discuss technical design concepts with architects, engineers and contractors,
while incorporating the artistic aspect she so enjoys.
After working
for years with fibers, Jennifer discovered her love of glass. Jennifer turned
to glass as her preferred medium because of the way glass reacts to light, and
the way it is both fluid and ridged, and creative and technical.
